DARRYN SHORT
Managing Director
Architectural Technician

As the managing director of the firm its Darryn’s role to make sure that everything runs smoothly.
The longest serving member of the team Darryn joined the firm in 2010. Prior to that he had worked for a local firm as an architectural technician for 7 years. Darryn is also a trained EPC assessor and is qualified to prepare SAP calculations and reports.
Darryn has a vast wealth of experience within all aspects of architectural design ranging from modern design to Class Q barn conversions.
Outside of work Darryn restores cars and is a keen football fan.

GARETH SHORT
Director
Architectural Technologist

Gareth began his career aged 18 as a junior architectural technician with a local firm. Gareth worked his way up and studied along side his work in order to gain his HNC in construction. He was registered as a member of CIAT and continued his studies to be admitted as a Chartered Architectural Technologist in August 2019.
Gareth enjoys all aspects of his work, he welcomes the opportunity to work on modern developments, however he maintains specific interest in Historic and listed buildings, he has an unusual affinity for complex planning matters and has been known to successfully tackle some very difficult applications.
Outside of work Gareth has two young children and when the opportunity allows he enjoys Formula 1 and is interested in all things cars.

ANTHONY VICKERY
Director

Anthony studied architecture at Newcastle University and has been between studying and practicing for the last 20 years across a variety of scales, from domestic extensions to café’s, leisure buildings & large residential developments. As a qualified RIBA Architect Anthony brings his design expertise to the practice and has a keen interest in helping clients to develop their initial ideas into stunning finished projects. His architectural ethos aims to create schemes with a strong sense of place that are carefully designed within the client’s budget.
Outside of work will most likely be found surfing, or in the garden with his family.

Becky Bassett
Office Manager

Becky serves as our dedicated office manager, bringing over 8 years of experience in office administration to our team. With her keen eye for detail and passion for quality management, she plays a vital role in evaluating and maintaining our internal systems and processes.

Her commitment to enhancing office efficiency is evident in her proactive approach to streamlining operations and fostering a positive work environment to ensure our office runs smoothly.
Outside of work Becky enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the sunshine.
