ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN

Working closely with our clients this three bedroom replacement dwelling in North Cornwall was designed with the remarkable site and location in mind.  Extensive glazing to the north east elevation makes use of the beautiful views across Millook towards Bude.

Our clients wanted to replace the small outdated holiday dwelling with a sustainable home that would cater for continuous sustainable use.

This oak frame building has been constructed with high quality materials including natural slate roofs, oak windows with slate cills and metal rainwater goods. The use of these materials in conjunction with detailing such as hung slate verges of modern sizing and dominant glazing to the primary elevation caters to the traditional vernacular whilst subtly moving towards contemporary styling and scale.

We have also more recently gained planning permission for a two storey extension, allowing for a study and ensuite.
